English · BaZi Term
Indirect Wealth (偏財)
Fluid, opportunistic wealth and a wide social reach.
Definition
Indirect Wealth (偏財, piān cái) is the Ten God for the element the Day Master controls, sharing the same yin-yang polarity. It is one of the two Wealth (財) gods.
Meaning in a chart
Indirect Wealth represents unfixed, flowing money: windfalls, business opportunities, investments, and generosity. It points to a person who handles money fluidly, enjoys wide social and material reach, and can spot and seize opportunity. Classically it is associated with movable assets and, in some readings, with relationships outside the primary one. Generous and resourceful, but less stable than earned income.
Example
Wood controls Earth, so if your Day Master is 甲 (Yang Wood), then 戊 (Yang Earth) is your Indirect Wealth — same polarity.
